FM24 Competition and League Rules – Austria

Austria has two playable divisions in Football Manager 2024 where the top tier Admiral Bundesliga contains 12 teams and the second tier Admiral 2. Liga has 16.

This is the competition and league rules for these two divisions.

The Rules are for the in-game starting season if nothing other is noted.

General Competition Rules

Trialist Rules

No trialist is allowed to play in matches

Eligibility Rules

Players cannot play competitive matches for more than two clubs between January 1st 2023 – January 1st 2024. (Three clubs if a player moves between clubs belonging to different associations with overlapping seasons).

1 match ban after 5 yellow cards
1 match ban for every additional 4 yellow cards
1 match ban for every red card

Serious Offence Ban Information

The following bans may also be added for the specified offence:
1 match: Striking another player (minor)

5 matches: Striking another player (extreme)
12 matches: Striking a match official

Maximum squad size of 99 players
Players can be registered between Saturday 1st July 2023 and Thursday 31st August 2023.
Players can be registered between Monday 1st January 2024 and Wednesday 31st January 2024

Loan Rules

A maximum of 4 players are allowed on loan from a team in a different division at a time.
A maximum of 2 players is allowed on loan from a team in the same division at one time.
A maximum of 6 players are allowed on loan in a season.
A maximum of 10 players are allowed out on loan in a season to domestic-based clubs.
A maximum of 7 foreign-based players over the age of 22 are allowed on loan at a time.
A maximum of 7 players over the age of 22 are allowed out on loan to a foreign club at a time.

Minimum 3-year contract length for players under the age of 18.
