Preview
Walsall is heading to Bolton on Saturday to try and get anything back from this match. Bolton has had a pretty good stint of form since January. They have managed nine wins, two draws and only one defeat in the last 12 matches. Their latest loss was against Tranmere Rovers back on January 23.
I have no big hopes for Walsall taking any points from this match. We have to improve if we are going to come home with nothing else than a defeat.
As usual, Walsall is quite tightlipped when it comes to injuries. We will probably have to wait until the lineups are released an hour before kick-off. Saturday to see if Dan Scarr is back in business. I hope we don’t make many changes from the last match. Rotation to rest players is inevitable when we have two games a week Dutton has to rotate the players wisely.
My prediction
I will be shocked if we end up as winners, but on the other hand, we won the last time we met this season. Looking at the form Bolton having and then look at the form Walsall having there is no doubt we travel home without any points. If we have a day where everything fits together and our creative players can find space to get balls to our strikers, I’m optimistic. The chances of having one of those days are very small. I predict we will have to fight hard not to be on the losing side. Based on our luck, we probably end up with another heartbreaking narrow defeat.
