Walsall will in a few hours play away against Crawley Town and it will be a big test for Walsall. Crawley is in 10th position just six points from a playoff position, a similar position that Walsall was in not so long ago.
In our last match against Barrow, we played incredible bad, even our chairman and owner Leigh Pomlett slated the display as rubbish.
After a bad start as caretaker-manager, the pressure is building on Brian Dutton to start showing improvement and getting some results. We are dangerously close to the relegation zone and another defeat today and the pressure will mount even more to get a result against Bolton on Saturday.
I demand a huge improvement from Friday’s match and I hope we go into this match against Crawley with the mindset that we want to take all three points back to Walsall. I can settle for a draw IF our game is better. If we play good attacking football but end up with just one point I’ll be quite satisfied. But if we play as we did against Barrow I will turn off my live stream and do something else. I will not waste time watching another football match like the one on Friday again.
I have no clue how Walsall will line up tonight. The constant reshuffle and tactical changes over the last 1,5 years make it hard to predict what team will start today.
My heart says we win but my logical thinking says we will get another heartbreaking defeat.
