Moving players on to make room for new?

The January transfer window is just around the corner and, I hope Darrell Clarke has a list of potential signings that he wants to strengthen the team with. He should let some of his summer signings leave the club during January.
With Gary Liddle already joining Hartlepool on loan the clear-out started early. I think that is the most disappointing signing of all Clarke made since he took over as manager. Liddle came to the club with good reviews and experience in the bag but have had big trouble to nail down a place and all too often not played to his potential. In my opinion, he has not shown the experience on the pitch that is needed to help the younger players during matches. If you go by the Garys own words he seems happy at Hartlepool, and keen to make the loan deal into a permanent move when the loan comes to an end on January 29th.

The squad is quite thin in certain areas, and Darrell needs to strengthen to lift us to a respectable position in the league. If we are lucky there is still time to challenge for a play-off place. But that depends on if we can strengthen the squad, and if those additions turn out to be lucky ones.

I have yet to see any rumours about Walsall signings except the one about we are interested in our former striker Amadou Bakayoko, now playing at Coventry City. The rumour is based on Darrell Clarke’s interest in Bakayoko from the time he managed Bristol Rovers.
