Missed chances but good signs

A few more missed chances than I had hoped but Walsall continue to show positive signs.
Walsall bossed the first half and should have been in the lead at half time, but it was Forest Green who took the lead just before the ref blew for half time.
Last Saturday captain James Clarke was the goalscoring hero. Today he made a wrong decision to keep the ball in play and seconds later gave away a penalty.
Walsall fought their way back and controlled the second half, and we took over the game, even more, when Darrel Clarke made som early substitutions in the 57th minute. Early substitutions to change the match is not anything a Walsall fan seen for a few years. Today the manager threw in two creative offensive players in James Hardy and Rory Holden they completely changed the gameplay for Walsall with their creativity.
Clarke wasn’t done there to get even more firepower in he took off a defender and put in our newest addition Caolan Lavery to play with a 343 tactic. It would pay off when a cross found Josh Gordon in the 86th minute. Gordon received the ball on his chest and made a bicycle kick, but the ball bounced off the post. James Hardy was quickest to react and could get the ball into the net with a powerful strike from a few yards.
All in all, it was a great display despite not scoring more. The midfield trio Sinclair, Kinsella and Liddle were excellent, especially Sinclair and Kinsella. Liddle was taken off in the 57th minute, but Sinclair and Kinsella kept on working hard, take back possession and distribute balls out to the wingers and strikers.
My MOTM today was Kinsella followed closely by Sinclair.
