After years of negative vibes, I feel it is about to turn around at Walsall. Since the sacking of Dean Keates, I think the club took a long hard look at itself and realised that it couldn’t go on in the same way as it has the last 5-10 years. It was pivotal to change the negative spiral, and I think they have made significant steps towards that this spring and summer.
The appointment of Darrel Clarke, the clearout of old players and the arrival of new players without any previous connection (except for Mat Sadler) to the club is an important step to turn around the club.
Since Clarke came into the club, I for one feel a much more positive vibe coming from the club. I think there is less messing around, and the manager has a vision and a plan that includes a tactic and players that suites the way he wants to play.
With a new owner and chairman, I feel the positivity among us fans has risen to a new level as well. With all that has happened at the club the last few months, it is now up to us fans to bring our part to the positive vibes when we go watch our team and give them a chance to bring us a league title and get back to League One. We gain so much more if we stay positive and don’t let that negative vibes come back it will only bring us down.
