I was delighted yesterday when Walsall released the news Liam Kinsella has signed a new 2-year contract, and this will mean he will stay to at least January because I think there will be offers on him in January if he has a decent first half of the season.
What will this mean to Walsall?
After the clearout after the season ended it was vital to keep hold of some of the culture bearers in the club. Keeping Kinsella will benefit all parts and there is still plenty of development in him, we have not seen the best of him, but he needs to get more playing time to reach his potential and, I think he will get this with Clarke in charge.
Since yesterday two other additions have been made to the squad. Midfielder James Hardy will join on a free transfer from AFC Fylde. He seems an exciting talent and, I hope he will be a big hit.
Today the club also announced they signed striker Elijah Adeboyo on a free transfer from Fulham. Both players are unknown to me, but I hope they will find their way at Walsall and help us win promotion.
Welcome to the club!
