Fewer club legends come through?

Is the day of the unsung hero over or is there still possible for Walsall to get a new Chris Marsh, Adi Viveash, Dean Keates, Jorge Leitao, Ian Roper, Jimmy Walker, to name a few since I became a Saddlers fan, in this time of the clubs era where we see players come and go at a higher rate than before?
Looking back a few years, I can’t see anyone who could be close to earning the same type of legendary status like the names mentioned above.
I can hardly remember which players we had in the squad two seasons ago, but a player like Adam Chambers must be up there among potentially legendary players. George Dobson is close, mainly because of his late winner last season and high work rate shown during matches but he has to stay at the club a few more years to advance on the legendary scale in my opinion.
A player like Ehrun Öztümer was on his way to earn a legendary status but opted to go for money at Bolton, and that put his legendary status back a few steps.

The last few years, I feel we talk and focused more on which players were the worst. That could also give a reflection where the has gone in recent years.

I hope that Darrell Clarke can get a squad together and bring in the right type of players and show us that it is possible to bring back a winning culture at Fortress Bescot. His first two signings are promising though and might show signs of a new start for Walsall Football Club.

We, the fans, who have paid a fair amount of money to the club are worth a better end product than what we have been shown practically since Dean Smith left the club.

Which players from the last 5 season would you consider be closest to become a club legend?
