Bonser blocking the sunlight?

Walsall owner Jeff Bonser

After a dismal season, it looks a bit brighter at Bescot. Our new manager has made a massive clear out and added his own backroom staff, and up til now signed midfielder Stuart Sinclair but more will take place in the Saddlers dressing room in the coming weeks/months. But regardless of the new manager, staff and players, one big question remains.

Will, we finally see some ambition from the board, I mean real enthusiasm and ambition. I want the owner, Jeff Bonser, go out and set up a goal that within five years we will play Championship football. We need to have a goal to aim for and we fans want to have an owner who sets up a vision and a target for where he wants the club to be. We are not satisfied with mediocre League One football and not at all pleased to play League Two football.

We need to get the buzz back and the interest to grow again around the football club, and it all starts with the action taken by the owner and board members in the board room. We need vision, guts and passion being shown not only by the players on the pitch, but it should also start at the top.

It would be much more positive among us saddlers fans if the owner Jeff Bonser didn’t block the bright that start to shine through the doorway.

In the last 10-15 years, I feel the ambition of the managers and players that come and gone have been held back by the owner’s lack of willingness to push the club to the next level.

I hope the owner won’t block the sunlight from coming in from our bright future.
